CityCare’s musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy service launched a new self-care information portal that includes advice, information and self-care resources for a variety of MSK conditions. Over the next few months the MSK team will be engaging with GPs as part of developing a professional resources section. This will aim to support the management of patients with MSK disorders.

Signposting health is an active signposting programme developed by the Nottingham City General Practice Alliance. NCGPA are a federation of 47 GP Practices in Nottingham City. They developed SignpostingHealth to “help patients choose the best help, first time”
They have developed an innovative, user friendly website with the most up to date information on a variety of services available within Nottingham City. This includes community services, emergency services & self care advice along with a list of symptoms matched up to the appropriate service. Urgent Care Centre on London Road
Did you know that the Urgent Care Centre on London Road has X-ray facilities?
They can treat minor injuries and illnesses including minor burns, minor head injuries or suspected broken bones. They can x-ray children over 5 and provide simple fracture management, meaning you don’t have to go to A and E. They can also now see the under 2’s. They’re open 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 7am-9pm and you don’t need an appointment.
