Ante-natal Clinic

Appointments are available at Radford Health Centre for expectant mothers and partners to see the midwife  Tuesday 1.30pm - 4.00pm and Friday with the doctor 1.00pm - 2.00pm

Mother and Baby Clinic

This is held at Radford Health Centre on Tuesday 13:30-15:00 for baby check-ups, developmental assessments and immunisations. There is usually a doctor, practice nurse and health visitor available at these sessions. No appointment is required.

Asthma Clinic

The practice nurse is available to give advice and routine asthma check-ups, by appointment.

Diabetes Clinic

This is held on Wednesday 11:15 - 12 noon. Appointments are available at Radford Health Centre for diabetic reviews with the practice nurse and doctor, these are also available at the student health centre this is carried out by the nurse with a follow up appointment with the doctor.  For further advise our reception staff will be more than happy to help. 

Well Person Clinic

If you are between 16-74 years and have not been seen in the last 3 years or if you are over the age of 75 and have not been seen within the last year and wish to have a basic health check please make an appointment with the practice nurse or health care assistant.  

Cryotherapy Clinic

This is held at our Radford Health Centre surgery on a Tuesday morning 11.15am - 11.30am, please discuss this with your doctor first

Other clinics

Minor surgical operations are performed at both sites, these are normally carried out at the end morning surgery, please discuss with your doctor first. Employment insurance and medicals are carried out by the doctors by special appointment only. There is a charge for this non NHS service.

We provide a confidential service to young people including under 16’s. For more information, please refer to our section regarding Patient Confidentiality.

We offer a FREE range of services:

• Emergency contraception "the Morning After Pill"
• Pregnancy testing
• Sexual health 
• Sexually Transmitted Infections screening
• Contraception and advice
• C Card scheme (free condoms)

We are happy for you to attend with a friend if you prefer.

For those patients registered at our Radford Site:

We run a drop clinic with our Health Care Assistant, Sarah, during School term-time on Mondays and Wednesdays between 3.45pm and 4.15pm. 

Patients registered at our Student Site:

We also offer a full sexual health screening service and contraceptive service at our Student Site - please telephone 0115 8486481 for an appointment.

Test Results

Please call between 11am and 3.30pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
